kdebase-apps software package provides Transitional package for kde-baseapps, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdebase-apps
kdebase-apps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kdebase-apps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kdebase-apps *
You will get with kdebase-apps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
